about

This album was released independently and distributed by Someone up There. It was initially called "Another day in Paradise". Graeme Reid (NZ Herald) reviewed and championed the album.
CBS's Annette Watson, A&R (NZ) picked it up. Michael Glading was Head of CBS at the time. They then rerecorded two songs, and requested a chorus be added to "If she knew why." Mike Chunn had by then become the new A&R at CBS. The album was released with support concerts organised and NZ distribution.
The song "Don't take me for granted" won the APRA Silver Scroll in 1990 and Guy won "Most Promising Male Vocalist" at the NZ Music awards.
Red Lead Music-current label.
